Iberian Boulder, Central and Western Areas. Currently there are more than 20 bouldering areas in this region, with more than 7.500 boulder problems. Of all these areas, we have selected nine for this guide. While not
putting down the others, these are the most developed areas, those that contain the greatest number of problems and those that can be said to be of the best quality. These areas are: La Dehesa, Agua Dulce, El Puertecito (La Muela), Bloque del Travieso, Peà±a de la Cruz, Valdesangil, Vallejera, La Hoya y Becedas. Most of the climbs that these areas have to offer are on overhangs with excellent granite, generally on edges and crimps, although some enjoyable crack climbing and slopey moves can also be found. Likewise, there are areas in which the granite is slightly more abrasive, but the quality of the problems more than makes up for this.
