This is the new edition of the guide dedicated to sport climbing in Valle d’Aosta, published by L’Eubage srl and completely expanded, revised, and updated compared to the previous version released almost ten years ago. A rich and in-depth volume designed to accompany local climbers and visitors in discovering one of the most interesting and varied territories of the Alpine arch.
This edition reviews 198 crags, including single-pitch and multi-pitch routes, featuring over 70 new sport climbing sites in Valle d’Aosta and in the very first areas outside the valley. The result is a comprehensive and detailed guide that collects all the climbing opportunities in Valle d’Aosta into a single volume, offering a broad and updated overview of what is available in the area.
The 832 color pages include descriptive texts and information on approaches in Italian and English, curated by Enrico Montrosset, along with maps, technical ratings, and precise indications for each individual rope length. The technical work stems from the experience of Alpine Guides Massimo Bal and Patrick Raspo, while the photographic apparatus includes over 100 images, mostly taken by photographer Marco Spataro. The layout by Tullio Macioce makes the volume pleasant to consult while being clear, functional, and accurate.
